We’re Hiring: Level 1 Sheet Metal Mechanic – Earn Your Stripes in the Trade

Location: Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Pay Range: $21–$25/hour | Full-Time

Position Summary:

We’re hiring a Level 1 Sheet Metal Mechanic to work under experienced foremen and learn the ropes on real job sites. You’ll install kitchen exhaust hoods, duct, fans, and rooftop systems — not sweep floors or run for coffee.

We don’t care if you came from the military or the shop floor — as long as you’re dependable, teachable, and ready to hustle.

What You’ll Do:

• Install kitchen hoods, ductwork, fans, curbs, and support gear

• Measure, cut, and fit sheet metal components

• Work on rooftops, ladders, and lifts — safely and efficiently

• Read simple job specs, follow directions, and get faster every week

• Handle your tools, prep your work, and back up your crew

• Learn the code, the craft, and the standard we expect

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license (non-negotiable)

• 0–2 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, welding, or construction

• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction

• Physically ready to lift, climb, and stay on your feet all day
  

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting Pay: $21.00 – $25.00/hour (based on skill, attitude, and reliability)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

This is field work. You’ll lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in heat or tight spaces, and stay moving. You’ll use hand and power tools and be expected to work smart, safe, and hard — every day.
